BagAutorush (Baggage Control)

If you have one (or several) central place within Arrival Services where all baggage in anomaly are transiting, low profile agents and BagAutorush can help you to expedite work very quickly with simple “scan and click” actions. Avoid lost baggage incident or quickly rush the baggage.

BagAutorush is a 100% automated tool made to expedite workload, by low staff profile that are trained in less than 5 minutes. It supports you to avoid lost baggage incident by still loading the bags on time if feasible (implying no loss of image for the passenger and no cost for lost bag incident like WorldTracer, staff, delivery, …) or, if the passenger is safe and already left the airport, an intelligent selection of the next available routing to rush the baggage automatically.

BagAutorush is made for low staff profile in order to quickly expedite bags coming in anomaly on a central place, by simple actions – bagtag scanning and messages displayed on screen with automated actions to be performed:

  • Is a “state of the art” fully automated web-based software for :
    1. maximising timely loading, or
    2. automated rushing of the baggage that has lost connection or has been rejected during the airport sorting process.
  • Requires no decision by the agent, who can be trained in less than 5 minutes.
  • Interacts with:
    • Departure Control Systems (DCS) and/or the local airport database to retrieve the flight and passenger status; and if baggage has to be rushed :
    • WorldTracer, by sending a FWD message,
    • Airport BSM server to indicate that the baggage is safe to sorters.
  • May be deployed as independent solution or as fully integrated module of BagAssist suite.
  • Also available on PDA as mobile solution (mobileAutorush) - refer BagAssist suite.

 

The benefits of BagAutorush is to expedite workload and it requires no knowledge of difficult systems (WorldTracer, DCS, ….). Low staff profile can therefore be used and is trained in 5 minutes :

  • Where there is a need for a “rushed bag”, BagAutoRush interacts with SITA’s WorldTracer® Management System and:
    • Automatically creates a FWD;
    • Informs and updates all stations;
    • Supports service recovery with stations being aware of lost baggage situations prior to passenger arrival allowing proactive passenger service recovery actions.
    • Filters can be set to inform BagAutorush on which flights or destinations the rushing is allowed or not.
  • Manual intervention and decision is reduced to nearly zero:
    • Staff training done in minutes, no need for IT or WorldTracer knowledge;
    • Staff low profile requirements, implying manpower cost reduction.
